Fred “Coach” Bruno

Certifications:
ISSA /Years Training: 30+

Coach, as he is known around the gym, has been with Big Al’s for over 8 years now. He graduated from Ohio State University where he played football for 4 years before playing with the New England Patriots for one season. Coach is one of the most decorated High School football coaches on Long Island. Coach does not just train athletes though, he trains various ways to help get anyone where they want to be!

Anthony Ippolito

Certifications:
AFFA/Years Training: 8

Anthony has been personal training for 8 years now, after a long career as a Registered Pharmacist. He specializes in youth training, senior training, and weigh management control. Anthony has also been a long distance runner for over 30 years now, so any questions about marathon training he is the guy to go to.

Lori Morris

Certifications:
NSCA, ISSA, NPTI, Nutrition Cert.

Lori has been with the Big Al’s family for over 3 years now and is our head female trainer on staff.  She loves all aspects of training, whether you are a stay at home mother, high school student, aspiring athlete, or a male looking to add an extra 10 – 15 pounds. Along with her knowledge in the personal training field she is well versed in nutrition and can help you out with your diet as well.

Bob “Grumpy” Balletta

Certifications:
AFAA / Years Training 30+

Grumpy has been in the fitness industry for many years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience that is matched by very few in the business. He was a competitive power lifter, and held the world record in the bench press for his weight class, and that was at over the age of 50. He has a no fail routine that if you are looking to add weight to your bench you have to try. He also is well versed in training both young children and women who are looking to get in better shape.

Rebecca Lewkowitz

Certifications:
S.M.A.R.T.  / Years Training 2+

Rebecca has been a welcomed addition to the Big Al’s Family. She joined our family less than a year ago, but has been a leading force in the gym. She brings with her an upbeat attitude daily that is unmatched. She believes “to take control of your body and mind and take your self to a never ending next level.” She likes to introduce women to more weight training beyond cardio, by not only building muscle, but self confidence & self worth. However, she loves the challenge of pushing the male member to the limit as well.

Colleen Reid

Certifications:
NSCA C-PT, and CPR/AED

Colleen’s background is in Physical Education (B.S. SUNY Cortland), and Exercise Science (M.S. Queens College). She has been involved with athletics and training throughout her life. She was captain of the women’s softball team at SCCC Brentwood, where she received awards for First Team All-Region from NJAAC, and First Team All-Region Infield from NFCA. She was captain of the women’s ice hockey team at SUNY Cortland, where she received the Red Letter award in 2001 and 2002. She has trained clients of all ages and populations. As well, she has led team conditioning at the collegiate level for volleyball, ice hockey, and softball. She is certified through NSCA C-PT, and CPR/AED

Tyron Grandison

Tyron has been involved in the health and fitness field for over two decades. Becoming a personal trainer has been one of his life goals.  It has allowed him to share his years of knowledge and extensive experience in the gym to improve people’s lives. His clients include teens, adults, athletes working for sport specific training and people with physical limitations. Every workout focuses on strict attention to body posture, alignment and breath control. The training sessions allow his clients to achieve success in the areas of weight loss, toning, gaining muscle, balance/stability, flexibility, improving strength and cardio vascular fitness.
