A: For the nursery, the children must be 3 months – 12 years old. We also have a variety of childrens fitness
classes for specific ages. Check our schedule in the nursery!
A: Yes. Tips/Gratuity for good service are appreciated. However, giving a tip/gratuity in an effort to have
the rules bent for you and/or your child, or to garner preferential treatment for your child is a “bribe”, and
is not acceptable.
A: A structured activity designed to foster developmental growth: Physically, mentally and socially.
A: Big Al’s has different types of memberships, not all of which include access to the nursery and kids’
programs. The voucher system helps us to ensure that only members that have paid for these programs can
use them. It also helps us to tract attendance for our programs, so we can adequately staff the programs.
In doing so, we are aware of which programs are most and least popular so we can make adjustments and best
suit your needs.
A: Two hours per day is the maximum amount of time a child can spend in the nursery.
Children under 1 year of age can stay no longer than one hour.
A: We only permit the children to watch three channels in the nursery: Disney, Nick Jr
and Cartoon Network. We also have two designated days a week for movies. You can find our movie
schedule on the monthly calendar in the nursery.
A: No, we cannot turn the television off if there are other children in the nursery
who want to watch a television program. Some children have separation anxiety from their parents
and they find the TV to be a comforting distraction. However, we do our best to do mostly active
play and limit the amount of time spent watching television.

A: Unfortunately we cannot assist your child with their bathroom needs. If a child
needs a diaper change or assistance we have someone get the parent.
A: Food is absolutely prohibited in the nursery! No exception! It is difficult to
keep track of the numerous allergies that our Lil’ Al’s members have; to be completely safe
there is a no food rule in the nursery. However, your child may bring a labeled ‘sippy’ cup
or juice box.
